## Biography

Danny Kallis is an American television writer and producer. He was born on 13 March 1957 in Los Angeles and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Claremont College.

He began writing for television in the early 1980s, with credits including episodes of *Taxi* (1978). He later wrote for series such as *Silver Spoons* (1982), *Mama's Family* (1983) and *Who's the Boss?* (1984). As a producer he worked on *Who's the Boss?*, *Hangin' with Mr. Cooper* (1992) and *Phenom* (1993).

Kallis created *Smart Guy* (1997), which he also directed and produced through his company Danny Kallis Productions, and co-created *The Suite Life of Zack & Cody* (2005) and its spin-off *The Suite Life on Deck* (2008). He has taught screenwriting at UCLA Extension and is a two-time Primetime Emmy nominee.
