## Biography

Danny Nowak is a Canadian cinematographer and occasional director. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, he studied cinematography at Simon Fraser University and began his career working on film sets in the city before expanding to international productions.

He has served as director of photography on features including *The Big Hit* (1998), *Hard Core Logo* (1996) and *Incident in a Ghostland* (2018), as well as television series and films such as *Dead Like Me* (2003) and *Blood Ties* (2007). Nowak also directed an episode of the series *Nashville* (2012). He has received a Gemini Award for his work on *The Love Crimes of Gillian Guess* (2004) and other nominations and honours from Canadian film and television bodies.

Nowak has taught cinematography as an instructor at Capilano University.
