Darren Genet is an American cinematographer and director. A native of Miami Beach, Florida, he received an MFA from the American Film Institute.

Genet has worked as director of photography on television series including *The Vampire Diaries* (2013–2017), *The Originals*, *Timeless* (2016), *CSI: Vegas* (2021) and *Outer Banks* (2020). He has also directed episodes of *The Vampire Diaries* (2009) and *Outer Banks*.

His feature cinematography credits include *All the Boys Love Mandy Lane* (2006), *About Cherry* (2012) and *Lucky* (2011). Genet is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
