## Biography

Darrol Blake is a British television director and former production designer. He began his career as a design assistant on the BBC series *Quatermass II* and worked as a designer on programmes including *Adam Adamant Lives!* and *The World of Wooster*. He later moved into directing, with early credits on *Doomwatch* and the children's series *Rainbow*.

Blake directed the 1978 *Doctor Who* serial *The Stones of Blood*. His other directing work includes episodes of *The Tomorrow People*, *Coronation Street*, *EastEnders*, *Emmerdale*, *Brookside* and *Crossroads*, as well as *Tucker's Luck*. He retired in 2002.
