## Biography

Dave Alex Riddett is a British cinematographer known for his work in stop-motion animation, primarily at Aardman Animations.

He began his career in the early 1980s, co-founding the bolexbrothers studio with Dave Borthwick. In 1985 he joined Aardman as a freelance cinematographer. Riddett has worked extensively with director Nick Park, serving as director of photography on shorts including *The Wrong Trousers* (1993), *A Close Shave* (1996) and *A Matter of Loaf and Death* (2008), as well as features such as *Chicken Run* (2000), *Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit* (2005), *Shaun the Sheep Movie* (2015) and *Early Man* (2018). He received a BAFTA nomination for special visual effects on *Chicken Run*.
