## Biography

Dave Goelz is an American puppeteer and actor. He joined Jim Henson's team in 1973 and became a principal performer with the Muppets, creating and voicing characters including Gonzo the Great, Dr Bunsen Honeydew, Zoot and Beauregard.

Goelz performed puppetry on *The Muppet Show*, *Fraggle Rock* (as Boober Fraggle and Uncle Travelling Matt) and several Muppet films. He also worked on *The Dark Crystal* (1982) and provided puppetry for multiple characters in *Labyrinth* (1986). After Jim Henson's death in 1990, he took over puppeteering Waldorf. He is the voice of the Disney character Figment.
