## Biography

Dave Hoover is a wild animal trainer who appeared as himself in Errol Morris's 1997 documentary *Fast, Cheap & Out of Control*. The film profiles his work with lions and tigers, drawing on his long career in circuses.

By 1998 he had spent more than 30 years performing with the Clyde Beatty-Cole Brothers Circus and other shows, based in DeLand, Florida. He grew up in Middletown, Ohio, and earlier appeared as himself in the 1971 television film *Plimpton! The Man on the Flying Trapeze*.
