Dave Humphries was a British writer and producer. Born in August 1944 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, he died in 2001 in Penzance, Cornwall.

His screenwriting credits include the film *Quadrophenia* (1979) and episodes of the television series *The Professionals* (1983), *Dempsey and Makepeace* (1985) and *London's Burning* (1990–1998, 39 episodes). He also received credits on *Full Circle* (1978) and *The Stud* (1978). He was married to Diana Mary Curtis from 1984 until his death.
