David A. Harp is an American cinematographer and director. Born on 22 September 1961 in Silver Spring, Maryland, he began his career in the camera department on feature films including *Pet Sematary* (1989) and *Gettysburg* (1993).

He worked extensively as a camera operator on the television series *Ally McBeal* (1997–2001). Harp later served as director of photography on series including *The Closer* (2008–2012), *Major Crimes* (2012–2018) and *All Rise* (2019–2020), where he also directed episodes. His other credits as cinematographer include *Nip/Tuck* (2008) and *Valor* (2017).
