## Biography

David A. Simmons is a film and television editor and producer. He began his career in the late 1970s as an assistant editor on features including *F.I.S.T.* (1978) and *...And Justice for All* (1979).

His first credit as editor was on Robert Altman's *Popeye* (1980). He subsequently edited films such as *Blind Fury* (1989) and numerous television movies and series, including episodes of *Make It or Break It* (2009–2010). Simmons has also worked as an associate producer on several television projects.

He is the son of writer and producer Richard Alan Simmons.
