## Biography

David Appelbaum is an American television writer and producer. He began his career in Hollywood as a writers' assistant on series including *The O.C.* and *Shark*, before joining the writing staff of *The Mentalist* in 2010.

On *The Mentalist* he worked as a story editor and executive story editor, and received writing credits on nine episodes across five seasons. He also served as co-producer on the series. Appelbaum later wrote for and produced *NCIS: New Orleans*, *Wisdom of the Crowd* and *The Enemy Within*. He created and wrote for the series *La Brea*.
