David Arkin (24 December 1941 – 14 January 1991) was an American actor born in Los Angeles, California. He appeared in supporting roles in several films directed by Robert Altman, including Staff Sergeant Vollmer in *M*A*S*H* (1970), Harry in *The Long Goodbye* (1973), Norman in *Nashville* (1975) and the Mailman/Policeman in *Popeye* (1980).

Arkin also played Eugene Bachinski in *All the President's Men* (1976) and had earlier credits including an uncredited role in *Valley of the Dolls* (1967). He appeared in three films nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture: *M*A*S*H*, *Nashville* and *All the President's Men*. He had guest roles on television series such as *Hawaii Five-O* (1969).

Arkin was married to actress Anne E. Curry at the time of his death.
