David Battley (5 November 1935 – 20 January 2003) was an English actor who appeared in stage and screen roles, mainly in comedy. Born in Battersea, London, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after working in the family printing business.

He found regular work as a character actor and comic stooge, with a dry, ironic delivery. His television credits included *Rutland Weekend Television* (1975), *One Foot in the Grave* (1990), *Lovejoy* (1986) as Norman Ebersley, *As Time Goes By* (1992) as Ted Pringle, and the *Mr. Bean* episode "Tee Off, Mr. Bean" (1995) as a golf attendant. Film roles included Mr. Turkentine in *Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory* (1971), S. Stebbing in *S.O.S. Titanic* (1979) and Ergo in *Krull* (1983).
