## Biography

David Bond (1914–1989) was an American character actor. Born Alfred Allegro in New York City, he appeared on Broadway, including as Iago in a production of Othello, before moving to Hollywood in the 1940s.

He had uncredited roles in films such as *The Stranger* (1946) and *In a Lonely Place* (1950), and later appeared in *Julius Caesar* (1953) and *Spartacus* (1960). His television credits included *The Twilight Zone* (1959), in which he played Jack the Ripper, and *Kung Fu* (1972). He also featured in *The Return of the Living Dead* (1985).

Bond died in West Hills, Los Angeles, California.
