## Biography

David Bower (born 1969), also credited as David Karl Bower, is a Welsh actor. He is best known for playing David, the deaf brother of Charles (Hugh Grant), in the 1994 film *Four Weddings and a Funeral*.

Bower is deaf and a British Sign Language user. He serves as artistic director of Signdance Collective International, working with Isolte Avila. In addition to film and television roles such as in *Hetty Wainthropp Investigates* (1996) and *Casualty* (1998), he has performed in BBC Radio 4 productions including *The Hunchback of Notre Dame* (2008).
