David Caffrey is an Irish film and television director. He was born in 1969 in Greystones, County Wicklow. He began his career with award-winning short films before directing feature films including *Divorcing Jack* (1998) and *On the Nose* (2001).

Caffrey has directed episodes of several television series. These include three episodes of *Line of Duty* (2012) and all six episodes of series 4 of *Peaky Blinders* (2017). Other credits include *Love/Hate* (2010–2014), *Stan Lee's Lucky Man* (2016) and *The Alienist* (2018–2020). He won the Fantasporto Critics' Award for *Divorcing Jack* and the Newport Beach Film Festival Audience Award for *On the Nose*.
