## Biography

David Carson is a British television and film director. He began his career directing in British theatre and on series including *Coronation Street* and an episode of *Bergerac* (1988).

After moving to the United States, Carson directed episodes of *Star Trek: The Next Generation* (1989–1992), the pilot "Emissary" and three further episodes of *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* (1993–1994), and the feature film *Star Trek Generations* (1994). His other credits include episodes of *Northern Exposure* (1990–1991), *L.A. Law*, *Doogie Howser, M.D.*, *Smallville* (2002–2004) and *One Tree Hill* (2003–2004), as well as the miniseries *The 10th Kingdom* (2000) and the television film *Carrie* (2002).

He is married to actress Kim Braden; they have two children.
