## Biography

David Chameides, also credited as Dave Chameides, is an American Steadicam operator, camera operator and occasional television director. He studied film at New York University and began working as a camera operator in the early 1990s.

Chameides served as Steadicam and camera operator on the television series *ER* from 1996 to 1999, including the live fourth-season premiere episode 'Ambush'. He directed one episode of the series in 1999, as well as episodes of *Third Watch* (2002) and *Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip* (2007). His film operating credits include *Donnie Darko* (2001), *Wedding Crashers* (2005), *St. Vincent* (2014) and *The Tragedy of Macbeth* (2021). He received two Primetime Emmy Awards for his camerawork on the live *ER* episode and on *Fail Safe* (2000).
