David Dencik is a Swedish-Danish actor. Born on 31 October 1974 in Stockholm, he has appeared in Swedish, Danish and English-language productions.

His early breakthrough came with the Swedish miniseries *Lasermannen* (2005). He is known for roles including Toby Esterhase in *Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy* (2011), Young Gustaf Morell in the English version of *The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo* (2011), Mikhail Gorbachev in *Chernobyl* (2019), and Valdo Obruchev in *No Time to Die* (2021). He is also cast in the upcoming film *Clayface* (2026).

Dencik has won two Robert Awards, for *A Soap* (2006) and *The Chestnut Man* (2021), and a Guldbagge Award for *The Perfect Patient* (2019). He has received seven Bodil Award nominations.
