## Biography

David Fitzgerald Doyle (1 December 1929 – 26 February 1997) was an American actor. He appeared as Mel in the 1971 film *A New Leaf* and is best known for playing John Bosley in all 110 episodes of the television series *Charlie's Angels* (1976–1981).

Doyle began his career on Broadway, replacing Walter Matthau in the original production of *Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?*. He later voiced Grandpa Lou Pickles in the animated series *Rugrats* from 1991 until his death. His sister Mary Doyle was a stage actress.
