David E. Peckinpah was a television and film writer, producer and director. He wrote two episodes for the series *Farscape* in 2003.

Peckinpah worked extensively in television, serving as writer, executive producer and director on *Sliders* (1995–1999) and writing multiple episodes of *Silk Stalkings* (1991–1995). His other credits include writing for *Beauty and the Beast* (1987) and stories for the films *Stroker Ace* (1983) and *Man of the House* (1995). He was the nephew of director Sam Peckinpah.
