## Biography

David Franco is a French cinematographer. Born on 14 September 1963 in France, he was raised in Zaire, where his father worked as a theatre director. He studied communications at the Université du Québec à Montréal, specialising in photography.

Franco began his career shooting music videos before moving into feature films and television. His credits include director of photography on episodes of *Stranger Things* (2017), *Game of Thrones*, *Westworld*, *Perry Mason* and *Fallout*, and six episodes of *Alien: Earth* (2025). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for *Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee* (2007) and has received multiple ASC Award nominations.
