David Furr is an American actor who works in theatre, film and television. He was born on 5 June 1972 in Greensboro, North Carolina, and studied theatre at Appalachian State University, graduating in 1994. He later completed an MFA at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival/University of Alabama Professional Actor Training Program.

Furr has appeared in numerous television series, including *The Mentalist* (2008) as Ian Breitler, *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (2010) as Greg Elding, *13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi* (2016) as DS Alec, *The Highwaymen* (2019) as Detective John Quinn, and *The Gilded Age* (2023) as Dashiell Montgomery. His stage credits include Broadway revivals of *Noises Off* (2016) and *The Importance of Being Earnest* (2011).

He received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for *Noises Off* and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for ensemble work in *The Gilded Age*.
