## Biography

David Grae is an American television writer and producer. He began his career as a staff writer on the series *Joan of Arcadia* and went on to write for *Without a Trace* and *Gilmore Girls*, where he also served as co-producer on the seventh season.

Grae wrote multiple episodes of *Castle* and rose to executive producer on the series. He later worked as writer and executive producer across all six seasons of *Madam Secretary*. He is currently an executive producer on *When Calls the Heart* and has written for the series.

His play *Moose Mating* (2001) has received regional and international productions and is published by Dramatists Play Service. Grae is co-founder of the Gotham Writers’ Workshop.
