David J. Eagle is a television director, producer and screenwriter. Born on 31 January 1954 in Staten Island, New York, he directed 13 episodes of the science fiction series *Babylon 5* from 1995 to 1998.

He directed two episodes of *Sliders* in 1999 and worked on educational programming for young audiences. These credits include multiple episodes of the *CBS Schoolbreak Special* series between 1989 and 1996, for which he also served as producer and writer.

Eagle received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Program for the 1994 *CBS Schoolbreak Special* episode "Kids Killing Kids", on which he worked as writer, director and producer. His direction of the *Babylon 5* episode "Severed Dreams" formed part of the series' Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.
