## Biography

David Kennard is a British director, producer and writer of non-fiction television and documentary series. He began his career at the BBC and contributed to the 1973 series *The Ascent of Man* as one of its film directors.

Kennard later worked on major documentary projects including *Connections* (with James Burke), *Cosmos* (with Carl Sagan) and *The Hero's Journey* (with Joseph Campbell). He is co-founder and president of Independent Communications Associates Inc. (InCA), a non-fiction production company with offices in the United States, France and Kenya. His later directing credits include the wine documentaries *A Year in Burgundy* (2013), *A Year in Champagne* (2014) and *A Year in Port* (2016).
