David Johnson BSC is a British cinematographer. Born in Nottingham in 1954, he began his career as a camera assistant in the mid-1970s and has worked as a director of photography since the late 1980s.

His film credits include *Othello* (1995), *Hilary and Jackie* (1998), *An Ideal Husband* (1999), *Resident Evil* (2002), *AVP: Alien vs. Predator* (2004), *Resident Evil: Extinction* (2007), *Wild Target* (2010) and *Despite the Falling Snow* (2016). On television he has served as director of photography on series including *Blindspot* (2015–2017), on which he also directed one episode, *Yellowstone* (2018) and *His Dark Materials* (2019).

Johnson has received three wins and two nominations for his cinematography. For *Despite the Falling Snow* he won awards at film festivals in Orlando and Milan.
