David Letterman is an American television host, comedian, writer and producer. He hosted late-night talk shows on NBC and CBS from 1982 to 2015, including Late Night with David Letterman and the Late Show with David Letterman.

Letterman has made numerous film and television appearances, often playing himself. These include roles in *Man on the Moon* (1999), *Private Parts* (1997) and *Between Two Ferns: The Movie* (2019). He has also provided voice work for *The Simpsons* and *Beavis and Butt-Head*.
