David M. Richardson is a film editor based in Hong Kong. Born in the United Kingdom, he is the son of a film editor and began his career working in Vancouver before moving to Hong Kong cinema.

He collaborated extensively with director Johnnie To and co-founded Milkyway Image, serving as the company's chief editor. His credits include *Fulltime Killer* (2001), *Breaking News* (2004), *Exiled* (2006), *Eye in the Sky* (2007), *Drug War* (2012), *Trivisa* (2016), *Limbo* (2021) and *Mad Fate* (2023).

Richardson has received multiple Hong Kong Film Award nominations and won Best Editing for *Trivisa* (2016) and *Mad Fate* (2023). He also won the Golden Horse Award for Best Film Editing for *Breaking News* and the Asian Film Award for Best Editor for *Eye in the Sky*.
