## Biography

David Alan Mack is an American writer known for his contributions to the Star Trek franchise. He attended New York University Tisch School of the Arts from 1987 to 1991, where he studied film and television production and screenwriting. With John J. Ordover, he co-wrote the *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* episode 'Starship Down' (1995) and provided the story for 'It's Only a Paper Moon' (1999).

Mack has written numerous Star Trek novels, including entries in the *Destiny* and *Vanguard* series, as well as comics and game scripts. He has served as a story consultant on the animated series *Star Trek: Lower Decks* and *Star Trek: Prodigy*. He has received multiple Scribe Awards and was honoured as a Grandmaster by the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers in 2022.
