## Biography

David Madden is an American film and television producer and executive. Born on 25 July 1955 in Chicago, he began his career as a story analyst at 20th Century Fox before advancing to vice president of production at Paramount Pictures. He later became a partner in the Cort/Madden production company, which developed and produced numerous feature films.

His producing credits include *The Hand That Rocks the Cradle* (1992), *Runaway Bride* (1999) and *Save the Last Dance* (2001). He executive-produced the HBO television film *Something the Lord Made* (2004), which won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Made for Television Movie. Madden has also held senior executive positions at Fox Broadcasting, AMC Networks and Berlanti Productions.
