## Biography

David Moessinger was an American television writer, producer and director. Born on 6 May 1930 in Bethlehem, New York, he contributed scripts to numerous series from the 1960s onwards, including story and teleplay credits on *Mission: Impossible* (1970).

He wrote episodes of *Combat!*, *Kung Fu*, *The Wild Wild West*, *Quincy, M.E.*, *Blue Thunder*, *Murder, She Wrote* and *Jake and the Fatman*. Moessinger also directed episodes of *Buck Rogers in the 25th Century* and *Man from Atlantis*, and served as executive producer on several series including *Murder, She Wrote* and *Quincy, M.E.*. He received two Primetime Emmy nominations.

Moessinger was married to writer and producer Jeri Taylor. He died on 26 October 2018.
