David P. Harmon (3 September 1918 – 28 August 2001) was an American television writer and producer. Born in Buffalo, New York, he graduated from Ohio State University in 1939 and began his career writing for radio programmes before moving into television and film in the 1950s.

He contributed episodes to numerous series, including two for *Star Trek* (1966): 'The Deadly Years' and 'A Piece of the Action'. Harmon wrote extensively for *Gilligan's Island* (1964), serving as story and script consultant on dozens of episodes, and contributed to *The Brady Bunch* (1969), *Ironside* (1967), *Mannix* and other shows. He was active in the Writers Guild of America, receiving its Morgan Cox Award in 1973.
