David Petrarca is an American director and producer of theatre, television and film. Born on 10 November 1965 in Warwick, Rhode Island, he served as a director at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago from 1988 until 2005.

His television directing credits include episodes of *Gilmore Girls* (2000), *Big Love* (2006), *True Blood* (2008), *Boardwalk Empire* (2010) and *Game of Thrones* (2011), as well as *The Expanse*, *Marvel's Jessica Jones*, *The Man in the High Castle*, *The Alienist* and *Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan*.

Petrarca directed the Broadway musical *A Year With Frog and Toad* (2003), which received three Tony Award nominations. He received a Joseph Jefferson Award and was named a Chicagoan of the Year by the Chicago Tribune in 1996.
