## Biography

David Quantick is an English comedy writer, screenwriter, journalist and novelist. He began his career as a freelance writer for the music magazine NME in 1983, where he worked with Steven Wells on comedy pieces until 1995.

His television writing credits include the radio and television series *On the Hour* and *The Day Today*, *Brass Eye*, *Blue Jam*, *Harry Hill's TV Burp*, *The Thick of It* and *Veep* (2012), for which he received an Emmy Award in 2015. He has also written novels including *The Mule* and *All My Colors*.
