## Biography

David Schulner is an American television writer and producer. His career began in the late 1990s with writing credits on *Once and Again*. He contributed as a writer and co-producer to *Desperate Housewives* (2004–2005) and wrote episodes for series including *Everwood* (2002), *Miss Match* (2003–2004), *Kings* (2009) and *The Event* (2010).

In 2015 Schulner became showrunner of *Emerald City*. He created, wrote for and served as showrunner and executive producer on the NBC series *New Amsterdam* (2018–2023), which ran for five seasons and 89 episodes. He has also written for *Reverie* (2018) and *Memory of a Killer* (2026). Schulner’s production company, Mount Moriah, has an overall deal with Universal Television.
