## Biography

David Sheiner was an American actor. Born Saul David Sheiner on 13 January 1928 in New York City, he made his television debut in 1952 on *Tom Corbett, Space Cadet* and his Broadway debut in 1955 in *Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?*, initially as a bellboy before replacing Orson Bean in a lead role.

He appeared in supporting roles in films including *The Greatest Story Ever Told* (1965) as James the Elder, *The Odd Couple* (1968) as Roy, *The Stone Killer* (1973) as Guido Lorenz, *The Big Brawl* (1980) as Morgan and *Blue Thunder* (1983) as Fletcher. Sheiner was a frequent guest star on television series throughout the 1960s to 1980s, with credits including episodes of *The Twilight Zone*, *Mission: Impossible*, *Columbo* and *Murder, She Wrote*. He retired from acting in 1988.
