## Biography

David Simkins is an American screenwriter and television producer. He wrote the screenplay for the feature film *Adventures in Babysitting* (1987), his first produced script. He has contributed as a writer and producer to numerous television series, beginning with *The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.* (1993–1994).

Simkins grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in film and broadcasting in 1982. His television credits include writing and producing roles on *Charmed* (1998), *Dark Angel* (2000), *Roswell* (1999), *Warehouse 13* (2009), *Grimm* (2011) and *Wu Assassins* (2019). He co-created the series *Vengeance Unlimited* (1998) and *Mercy Point* (1998).
