David Sterne is an English actor. Born in 1946, he left the British Army and trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. A former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, he has worked in television, film and radio for over 40 years.

He appeared in *The Vicar of Dibley* (1994). His film roles include the Retired Knight in *A Knight's Tale* (2001), a Ministry Wizard in *Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire* (2005), the Edinburgh Cook in *Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest* (2006), and Keffers in *Never Let Me Go* (2010). On television he played Larry Bishop in *Detectorists* (2014) and has appeared in *Sister Boniface Mysteries*.
