## Biography

David Trachtenberg is a film and television editor. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, he studied film at Temple University and drumming at the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood. His career began with a summer internship at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, after which he worked in commercial post-production houses on campaigns for brands including Nike, Google and Ford.

Trachtenberg’s first feature credit was as editor on *Casa de Mi Padre* (2012). He went on to edit *Me and Earl and the Dying Girl* (2015), which premiered at Sundance and earned him an Eddie nomination, and *The Current War* (2017). He has also edited episodes of series including the pilot of *The Boys* (2019), *Shadow and Bone* (2021) and *The Offer* (2022). In 2016 he was inducted into the American Cinema Editors.

He served as co-editor, with Stefan Grube, on *Predator: Badlands* (2025), directed by his brother Dan Trachtenberg.
