## Biography

David Walliams is an English actor, comedian and writer. Born David Edward Williams on 20 August 1971 in Banstead, Surrey, he trained at the University of Bristol and performed with the National Youth Theatre.

He rose to prominence through his work with Matt Lucas on the BBC sketch series Little Britain (2003–2006) and Come Fly with Me (2010–2011). Film roles include Mr Pumblechook in Great Expectations (2012), a voice role in Shaun of the Dead (2004), Sextus in Stardust (2007) and appearances in Stardust (2007), Run Fatboy Run (2007) and Dinner for Schmucks (2010).

Walliams served as a judge on Britain's Got Talent (2012–2022) and has written and starred in series including Big School (2013–2014) and Walliams & Friend (2015). He has also written numerous children's books.
