## Biography

David Walpert is an American television writer and producer. He wrote episodes for the sitcom *Ellen* in the mid-1990s before contributing to *Sports Night* (1998–2000), where he also served as executive story editor and co-producer.

His later writing credits include episodes of *Just Shoot Me!*, *The Job*, *New Girl*, *House of Lies* and the 2019 revival of *Veronica Mars*. He has also worked as a producer on several of these series.

Walpert attended the Gilman School in Baltimore and Amherst College, and briefly studied law before entering television writing through a Disney programme.
