David Wellington is a Canadian film and television director. Born in 1963, he is known for his feature films *I Love a Man in Uniform* (1993), which premiered in the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes, and the 1996 adaptation of *Long Day's Journey into Night*, which won best feature film at TIFF.

He has directed episodes of numerous television series, including *Orphan Black* (2013), *Vikings* (2013), *Queer as Folk* (2000), *Rookie Blue* (2010), *Saving Hope* (2012), *Knightfall* (2017) and *Taken* (2017). His brother Peter is also a film and television director.
