## Biography

David Winters (born David Weizer) was an English-born American actor, dancer, choreographer, producer and director. He appeared as Baby John in the original 1957 Broadway production of *West Side Story* and as A-rab in the 1961 film adaptation.

Winters later worked as a choreographer on films including *Viva Las Vegas* (1964) and several projects with Ann-Margret and Elvis Presley, as well as television specials. He produced and directed numerous television specials in the 1960s and 1970s, and from the 1980s produced and directed action films such as *The Last Horror Film* (1982), *Thrashin'* (1986) and *Space Mutiny* (1988).

He died on 23 April 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
