David Wright is an American television writer. He worked on the animated series *Family Guy* as a writers' assistant, story editor and staff writer between 2008 and 2014, contributing to 23 episodes as staff writer.

His other writing credits include episodes of *Malcolm in the Middle* (2000), *Packages from Planet X* (2013), *Star Trek: Lower Decks* (2020–2021) and *Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head* (2022–2023).
