Dean Lopata is a television writer and producer. He worked on the series *Bones* (2005) as a writer, story editor and executive story editor from 2009, later serving as co-producer, producer and supervising producer.

His other writing credits include an episode of *Kitchen Confidential* (2006), four episodes of *The Mysteries of Laura* (2015–2016) and one episode of *Whiskey Cavalier* (2019), on which he was also co-executive producer. He was associate producer on the film *Braveheart* (1995).
