## Biography

Debra Hanson is a Canadian costume designer and set designer. She graduated from Dalhousie University and the National Theatre School of Canada. Early in her career she designed 32 productions at the Stratford Festival of Canada as head of design, and she has also worked in opera.

Her film and television credits include *Chloe* (2010), *Orphan Black* (2013–2017), *Schitt's Creek* (2015–2020), *The Handmaid's Tale* (2021) and *Remember* (2015). She received Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Contemporary Costumes for *Schitt's Creek* in 2020 and for Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes for *The Handmaid's Tale*.
