## Biography

Deena Appel is a costume designer whose film credits include *Mystery, Alaska* (1999) and *The Time Machine* (2002). She worked as costume designer on the first three *Austin Powers* films: *Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery* (1997), *Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me* (1999) and *Austin Powers in Goldmember* (2002).

Her other film work encompasses *Bedazzled* (2000), *The Lake House* (2006), *Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous* (2005), *Stuck on You* (2003) and *License to Wed* (2007). Earlier in her career she served as costume supervisor on *The Abyss* (1989).

Appel has also designed costumes for television series including *The Fosters* (2013–2018) and *Good Trouble* (2019–2024). She received Saturn Award nominations for her work on the *Austin Powers* films.
