## Biography

Deepak Nayar is an Indian film producer. He began his career in India, working as a location manager on Merchant Ivory productions including *Heat and Dust* (1983) and *The Deceivers* (1988). He later moved to Los Angeles, where he founded the production company Kintop Pictures.

Nayar has produced or executive produced numerous feature films. His credits include *Lost Highway* (1997) and *The End of Violence* (1997) for David Lynch and Wim Wenders respectively, *Bend It Like Beckham* (2002), *Buena Vista Social Club* (1999), and executive producer roles on *Wind River* (2017), *Dredd* (2012) and *Greenland* (2020). He has also worked in television and co-founded the Filmaka platform for emerging filmmakers.
