## Biography

Delphine White (1948–2023) was a Canadian costume designer who worked in film and television for over four decades. She began her career in the late 1970s and established herself through early collaborations with director David Cronenberg on films including *Fast Company* (1979), *The Brood* (1979), *Scanners* (1981) and *Videodrome* (1983).

White later contributed costume design or supervision to features such as *Good Will Hunting* (1997), *The Long Kiss Goodnight* (1996), *Bulletproof Monk* (2003), *Dream House* (2011) and *Poltergeist* (2015). Her television credits include the series *Copper* (2012) and *The Strain* (2017), and the miniseries *The Kennedys: After Camelot* (2017). She received multiple award nominations, including Genie and Canadian Screen Award nods, and was honoured with the 2019 CAFTCAD Industry Icon Award.

White studied political science before entering the industry. She later trained in design and pattern drafting, served on industry committees, mentored emerging talent and co-founded the Association of Canadian Film Craftpeople and CAFTCAD.
